Psalms 25: Douay-Rheims and Septuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
Douay-RheimsSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
1Unto the end, a psalm for David. Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my innocence: and I have put my trust in the Lord, and shall not be weakened.Τοῦ Δαυίδ.
2Prove me, O Lord, and try me; burn my reins and my heart.Δοκίμασόν με, Κύριε, καὶ πείρασόν με, πύρωσον τοὺς νεφρούς μου καὶ τὴν καρδίαν μου.
3For thy mercy is before my eyes; and I am well pleased with thy truth.Ὅτι τὸ ἔλεός σου κατέναντι τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν μου ἐστὶ, καὶ εὐηρέστησα ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου.
4I have not sat with the council of vanity: neither will I go in with the doers of unjust things.Οὐκ ἐκάθισα μετὰ συνεδρίου ματαιότητος, καὶ μετὰ παρανομούντων οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθω·
5I have hated the assembly of the malignant; and with the wicked I will not sit.Ἐμίσησα ἐκκλησίαν πονηρευομένων, καὶ μετὰ ἀσεβῶν οὐ μὴ καθίσω.
6I will wash my hands among the innocent; and will compass thy altar, O Lord:Νίψομαι ἐν ἀθώοις τὰς χεῖράς μου, καὶ κυκλώσω τὸ θυσιαστήριόν σου, Κύριε·
7That I may hear the voice of thy praise: and tell of all thy wondrous works.Τοῦ ἀκοῦσαι φωνῆς αἰνέσεως, καὶ διηγήσασθαι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσιά σου.
8I have loved, O Lord, the beauty of thy house; and the place where thy glory dwelleth.Κύριε, ἠγάπησα εὐπρέπειαν οἴκου σου, καὶ τόπον σκηνώματος δόξης σου.
9Take not away my soul, O God, with the wicked: nor my life with bloody men:Μὴ συναπολέσῃς μετὰ ἀσεβῶν τὴν ψυχήν μου, καὶ μετὰ ἀνδρῶν αἱμάτων τὴν ζωήν μου,
10In whose hands are iniquities: their right hand is filled with gifts.ὧν ἐν χερσὶν ἀνομίαι, ἡ δεξιὰ αὐτῶν ἐπλήσθη δώρων.
11But as for me, I have walked in my innocence: redeem me, and have mercy on me.Ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν ἀκακίᾳ μου ἐπορεύθην, λύτρωσαί με καὶ ἐλέησόν με.
12My foot hath stood in the direct way: in the churches I will bless thee, O Lord.Ὁ ποῦς μου ἔστη ἐν εὐθύτητι, ἐν ἐκκλησίαις εὐλογήσω σε Κύριε.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, which kills the prophets

The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee. And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and…
