Psalms 110: Douay-Rheims and Septuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
Douay-RheimsSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
1I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just: and in the congregation.Ἀλληλούϊα. Ἐξομολογήσομαι σοι Κύριε ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου, ἐν βουλῇ εὐθέων καὶ συναγωγῇ.
2Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills.Μεγάλα τὰ ἔργα Κυρίου, ἐξεζητημένα εἰς πάντα τὰ θελήματα αὐτοῦ.
3His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.Ἐξομολόγησις καὶ μεγαλοπρέπεια τὸ ἔργον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ δικαιοσύνη αὐτοῦ μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος.
4He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:Μνείαν ἐποιήσατο τῶν θαυμασίων αὐτοῦ, ἐλεήμων καὶ οἰκτίρμων ὁ Κύριος.
5He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:Τροφὴν ἔδωκε τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτόν· μνησθήσεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα διαθήκης αὐτοῦ.
6He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.Ἰσχὺν ἔργων αὐτοῦ ἀνήγγειλε τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ, τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτοῖς κληρονομίαν ἐθνῶν.
7That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.Ἔργα χειρῶν αὐτοῦ, ἀλήθεια καὶ κρίσις· πισταὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἐντολαὶ αὐτοῦ,
8All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity.ἐστηριγμέναι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος, πεποιημέναι ἐν ἀληθείᾳ καὶ εὐθύτητι.
9He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name:Λύτρωσιν ἀπέστειλε τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ· ἐνετείλατο εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα διαθήκην αὐτοῦ· ἅγιον καὶ φοβερὸν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ.
10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.Ἀρχὴ σοφίας φόβος Κυρίου, σύνεσις δὲ ἀγαθὴ πᾶσι τοῖς ποιοῦσιν αὐτήν· ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτοῦ μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, which kills the prophets

The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee. And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and…
