Douay-RheimsSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
I will extol thee, O God my king: and I will bless thy name for ever; yea, for ever and ever.Αἴνεσις τοῦ Δαυίδ.
Every day I will bless thee: and I will praise thy name for ever; yea, for ever and ever.Καθʼ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν εὐλογήσω σε, καὶ αἰνέσω τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: and of his greatness there is no end.Μέγας ὁ Κύριος καὶ αἰνετὸς σφόδρα, καὶ τῆς μεγαλωσύνης αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστι πέρας.
Generation and generation shall praise thy works: and they shall declare thy power.Γενεὰ καὶ γενεὰ ἐπαινέσει τὰ ἔργα σου, καὶ τὴν δύναμίν σου ἀπαγγελοῦσι.
They shall speak of the magnificence of the glory of thy holiness: and shall tell thy wondrous works.Καὶ τὴν μεγαλοπρέπειαν τῆς δόξης τῆς ἁγιωσύνης σου λαλήσουσι, καὶ τὰ θαυμάσιά σου διηγήσονται.
And they shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and shall declare thy greatness.Καὶ τὴν δύναμιν τῶν φοβερῶν σου ἐροῦσι, καὶ τὴν μεγαλωσύνην σου διηγήσονται.
They shall publish the memory of the abundance of thy sweetness: and shall rejoice in thy justice.Μνήμην τοῦ πλήθους τῆς χρηστότητός σου ἐξερεύξονται, καὶ τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἀγαλλιάσονται.
The Lord is gracious and merciful: patient and plenteous in mercy.Οἰκτίρμων καὶ ἐλεήμων ὁ Κύριος, μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος.
The Lord is sweet to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.Χρηστὸς Κύριος τοῖς ὑπομένουσι, καὶ οἱ οἰκτιρμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ.
Let all thy works, O lord, praise thee: and let thy saints bless thee.Ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι, Κύριε, πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου, καὶ οἱ ὅσιοί σου εὐλογησάτωσάν σε.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom: and shall tell of thy power:Δόξαν τῆς βασιλείας σου ἐροῦσι, καὶ τὴν δυναστείαν σου λαλήσουσιν·
To make thy might known to the sons of men: and the glory of the magnificence of thy kingdom.Τοῦ γνωρίσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων τὴν δυναστείαν σου, καὶ τὴν δόξαν τῆς μεγαλοπρεπείας τῆς βασιλείας σου.
Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages: and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words: and holy in all his works.Ἡ βασιλεία σου βασιλεία πάντων τῶν αἰώνων, καὶ ἡ δεσποτία σου ἐν πάσῃ γενεᾷ καὶ γενεᾷ· πιστὸς Κύριος ἐν τοῖς λόγοις αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὅσιος ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτοῦ.
The Lord lifteth up all that fall: and setteth up all that are cast down.Ὑποστηρίζει Κύριος πάντας τοὺς καταπίπτοντας, καὶ ἀνορθοῖ πάντας τοὺς κατεῤῥαγμένους.
The eyes of all hope in thee, O Lord: and thou givest them meat in due season.Οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ πάντων εἰς σὲ ἐλπίζουσι, καὶ σὺ δίδως τὴν τροφὴν αὐτῶν ἐν εὐκαιρίᾳ.
Thou openest thy hand, and fillest with blessing every living creature.Ἀνοίγεις σὺ τὰς χεῖράς σου, καὶ ἐμπιπλᾷς πᾶν ζῶον εὐδοκίας.
The Lord is just in all his ways: and holy in all his works.Δίκαιος Κύριος ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὅσιος ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτοῦ.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him: to all that call upon him in truth.Ἐγγὺς Κύριος πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις αὐτόν, πᾶσι τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις αὐτὸν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ.
He will do the will of them that fear him: and he will hear their prayer, and save them.Θέλημα τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν ποιήσει, καὶ τῆς δεήσεως αὐτῶν ἐπακούσεται, καὶ σώσει αὐτούς.
The Lord keepeth all them that love him; but all the wicked he will destroy.Φυλάσσει Κύριος πάντας τοὺς ἀγαπῶντας αὐτόν, καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἁμαρτωλοὺς ἐξολοθρεύσει.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless thy holy name for ever; yea, for ever and ever.Αἴνεσιν Κυρίου λαλήσει τὸ στόμα μου, καὶ εὐλογείτω πᾶσα σὰρξ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ, εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος.
