Psalms 100: Douay-Rheims and Septuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
Douay-RheimsSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
1A psalm for David himself. Mercy and judgment I will sing to thee, O Lord: I will sing,Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυίδ. Ἔλεος καὶ κρίσιν ᾄσομαί σοι, Κύριε·
2And I will understand in the unspotted way, when thou shalt come to me. I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.ψαλῶ καὶ συνήσω ἐν ὁδῷ ἀμώμῳ· πότε ἥξεις πρὸς μέ; διεπορευόμην ἐν ἀκακίᾳ καρδίας μου, ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ οἴκου μου.
3I did not set before my eyes any unjust thing: I hated the workers of iniquities.Οὐ προεθέμην πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν μου πρᾶγμα παράνομον, ποιοῦντας παραβάσεις ἐμίσησα· οὐκ ἐκολλήθη μοικαρδία σκαμβὴ,
4The perverse heart did not cleave to me: and the malignant, that turned aside from me, I would not know.ἐκκλίνοντος ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ τοῦ πονηροῦ οὐκ ἐγίνωσκον.
5The man that in private detracted his neighbour, him did I persecute. With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, I would not eat.Τὸν καταλαλοῦντα λάθρα τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ, τοῦτον ἐξεδίωκον· ὑπερηφάνῳ ὀφθαλμῷ καὶ ἀπλήστῳ καρδίᾳ, τούτῳ οὐ συνήσθιον.
6My eyes were upon the faithful of the earth, to sit with me: the man that walked in the perfect way, he served me.Οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἐπὶ τοὺς πιστοὺς τῆς γῆς, τοῦ συγκαθῆσθαι αὐτοὺς μετʼ ἐμοῦ· πορευόμενος ἐν ὁδῷ ἀμώμῳ, οὗτός μοι ἐλειτούργει.
7He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house: he that speaketh unjust things did not prosper before my eyes.Οὐ κατῴκει ἐν μέσῳ τῆς οἰκίας μου ποιῶν ὑπερηφανίαν· λαλῶν ἄδικα οὐ κατεύθυνεν ἐναντίον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν μου.
8In the morning I put to death all the wicked of the land: that I might cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.Εἰς τὰς πρωΐας ἀπέκτενον πάντας τοὺς ἁμαρτωλοὺς τῆς γῆς, τοῦ ἐξολοθρεῦσαι ἐκ πόλεως Κυρίου πάντας τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν ἀδικίαν.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, which kills the prophets

The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee. And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and…
