Psalms 130: Douay-Rheims and Septuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
Douay-RheimsSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
1Lord, my heart is not exalted: nor are my eyes lofty. Neither have I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me.Ὠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν.
2If I was not humbly minded, but exalted my soul: As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, so reward in my soul.Εἰ μὴ ἐταπεινοφρόνουν, ἀλλὰ ὕψωσα τὴν ψυχήν μου· ὡς τὸ ἀπογεγαλακτισμένον ἐπὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ, ὡς ἀνταποδώσεις ἐπὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου.
3Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.Ἐλπισάτω Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ τὸν Κύριον ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος.
