Douay-RheimsVulgata ClementinaSeptuagint (Sixtine edition, 1587)
O Lord, remember David, and all his meekness.Canticum graduum. Memento, Domine, David, et omnis mansuetudinis eius:Ὠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν.
How he swore to the Lord, he vowed a vow to the God of Jacob:sicut iuravit Domino; votum vovit Deo Iacob:Ὡς ὤμοσε τῷ Κυρίῳ, ηὔξατο τῷ Θεῷ Ἰακώβ·
If I shall enter into the tabernacle of my house: if I shall go up into the bed wherein I lie:Si introiero in tabernaculum domus meae; si ascendero in lectum strati mei;Εἰ εἰσελεύσομαι εἰς σκήνωμα οἴκου μου, εἰ ἀναβήσομαι ἐπὶ κλίνης στρωμνῆς μου·
If I shall give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,si dedero somnum oculis meis, et palpebris meis dormitationem,Εἰ δώσω ὕπνον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς μοῦ, καὶ τοῖς βλεφάροις μου νυσταγμὸν, καὶ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς κροτάφοις μου·
Or rest to my temples: until I find out a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.et requiem temporibus meis, donec inveniam locum Domino, tabernaculum Deo Iacob.Ἕως οὗ εὕρω τόπον τῷ Κυρίῳ, σκήνωμα τῷ Θεῷ Ἰακώβ.
Behold we have heard of it in Ephrata: we have found it in the fields of the wood.Ecce audivimus eam in Ephrata; invenimus eam in campis silvae.Ἰδοὺ ἠκούσαμεν αὐτὴν ἐν Ἐφραθὰ, εὕρομεν αὐτὴν ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ.
We will go into his tabernacle: We will adore in the place where his feet stood.Introibimus in tabernaculum eius; adorabimus in loco ubi steterunt pedes eius.Εἰσελευσώμεθα εἰς τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτοῦ· προσκυνήσωμεν εἰς τὸν τόπον οὗ ἔστησαν οἱ πόδες αὐτοῦ.
Arise, O Lord, into thy resting place: thou and the ark, which thou hast sanctified.Surge, Domine, in requiem tuam, tu et arca sanctificationis tuae.Ἀνάστηθι Κύριε εἰς τὴν ἀνάπαυσίν σου, σὺ καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς τοῦ ἁγιάσματός σου.
Let thy priests be clothed with justice: and let thy saints rejoice.
For thy servant David’s sake, turn not away the face of thy anointed.
The Lord hath sworn truth to David, and he will not make it void: of the fruit of thy womb I will set upon thy throne.
If thy children will keep thy covenant, and these my testimonies which I shall teach them: Their children also for evermore shall sit upon thy throne.Si custodierint filii tui testamentum meum, et testimonia mea haec quae docebo eos, et filii eorum usque in saeculum sedebunt super sedem tuam.Ἐὰν φυλάξωνται οἱ υἱοί σου τὴν διαθήκην μου, καὶ τὰ μαρτύριά μου ταῦτα ἃ διδάξω αὐτοὺς, καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος καθιοῦνται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου σου.
For the Lord hath chosen Sion: he hath chosen it for his dwelling.Quoniam elegit Dominus Sion: elegit eam in habitationem sibi.Ὅτι ἐξελέξατο Κύριος τὴν Σιὼν, ᾑρετίσατο αὐτὴν εἰς κατοικίαν ἑαυτῷ.
This is my rest for ever and ever: here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.Haec requies mea in saeculum saeculi; hic habitabo, quoniam elegi eam.Αὕτη ἡ κατάπαυσίς μου εἰς αἰῶνα αἰῶνος, ὧδε κατοικήσω ὅτι ᾑρετισάμην αὐτήν.
Blessing, I will bless her widow: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
I will clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall rejoice with exceeding great joy.
There will I bring forth a horn to David: I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
His enemies I will clothe with confusion: but upon him will my sanctification flourish.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, which kills the prophets

The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee. And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and…
