Praise ye the name of the Lord: O you his servants, praise the Lord:Alleluia. Laudate nomen Domini; laudate, servi, Dominum:Ἀλληλούϊα.
You that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.qui statis in domo Domini, in atriis domus Dei nostri.Οἱ ἑστῶτες ἐν οἴκω Κυρίου, ἐν αὐλαῖς οἴκου Θεοῦ ἡμῶν.
Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good: sing ye to his name, for it is sweet.
For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession.Quoniam Iacob elegit sibi Dominus; Israël in possessionem sibi.Ὅτι τὸν Ἰακὼβ ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτῷ ὁ Κύριος, Ἰσραὴλ εἰς περιουσιασμὸν ἑαυτῷ.
For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is above all gods.
Whatsoever the Lord hath pleased he hath done, in heaven, in earth, in the sea, and in all the deeps.Omnia quaecumque voluit Dominus fecit, in caelo, in terra, in mari et in omnibus abyssis.Πάντα ὅσα ἠθέλησεν ὁ Κύριος, ἐποίησεν ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ἐν τῇ γῇ, ἐν ταῖς θαλάσσαις καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἀβύσσοις.
He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: he hath made lightnings for the rain. He bringeth forth winds out of his stores:Educens nubes ab extremo terrae, fulgura in pluviam fecit; qui producit ventos de thesauris suis.Ἀνάγων νεφέλας ἐξ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς, ἀστραπὰς εἰς ὑετὸν ἐποίησεν· ὁ ἐξάγων ἀνέμους ἐκ θησαυρῶν αὐτοῦ.
He slew the firstborn of Egypt from man even unto beast.Qui percussit primogenita Aegypti, ab homine usque ad pecus.Ὃς ἐπάταξε τὰ πρωτότοκα Αἰγύπτου ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους.
He sent forth signs and wonders in the midst of thee, O Egypt: upon Pharao, and upon all his servants.Et misit signa et prodigia in medio tui, Aegypte: in Pharaonem, et in omnes servos eius.Ἐξαπέστειλεν σημεῖα καὶ τέρατα ἐν μέσῳ σου Αἴγυπτε, ἐν Φαραῷ καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ.
He smote many nations, and slew mighty kings:Qui percussit gentes multas, et occidit reges fortes:Ὃς ἐπάταξεν ἔθνη πολλά, καὶ ἀπέκτεινε βασιλεῖς κραταιούς·
Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan.
And gave their land for an inheritance, for an inheritance to his people Israel.et dedit terram eorum haereditatem, haereditatem Israël populo suo.Καὶ ἔδωκε τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν κληρονομίαν, κληρονομίαν Ἰσραὴλ λαῷ αὐτοῦ.
Thy name, O Lord, is for ever: thy memorial, O Lord, unto all generations.Domine, nomen tuum in aeternum; Domine, memoriale tuum in generationem et generationem.Κύριε τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ τὸ μνημόσυνόν σου εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν.
For the Lord will judge his people, and will be entreated in favour of his servants.Quia iudicabit Dominus populum suum, et in servis suis deprecabitur.Ὅτι κρινεῖ Κύριος τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ παρακληθήσεται.
The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of men’s hands.
They have a mouth, but they speak not: they have eyes, but they see not.
They have ears, but they hear not: neither is there any breath in their mouths.Aures habent, et non audient; neque enim est spiritus in ore ipsorum.Ὦτα ἔχουσι καὶ οὐκ ἐνωτισθήσονται, οὐδὲ γάρ ἐστι πνεῦμα ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν.
Let them that make them be like to them: and every one that trusteth in them.Similes illis fiant qui faciunt ea, et omnes qui confidunt in eis.Ὅμοιοι αὐτοῖς γένοιντο οἱ ποιοῦντες αὐτὰ, καὶ πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς.
Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron.
Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
Blessed be the Lord out of Sion, who dwelleth in Jerusalem.Benedictus Dominus ex Sion, qui habitat in Ierusalem.Εὐλογητὸς Κύριος ἐκ Σιὼν, ὁ κατοικῶν Ἱερουσαλήμ.
