Now concerning the collections that are made for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so do ye also.De collectis autem, quae fiunt in sanctos, sicut ordinavi ecclesiis Galatiae, ita et vos facite.Περὶ δὲ τῆς λογίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους, ὥσπερ διέταξα ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Γαλατίας οὕτω καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιήσατε.
On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.
And when I shall be with you, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your grace to Jerusalem.Cum autem praesens fuero, quos probaveritis per epistolas, hos mittam perferre gratiam vestram in Ierusalem.ὅταν δὲ παραγένωμαι, οὓς ἐὰν δοκιμάσητε, δι᾽ ἐπιστολῶν τούτους πέμψω ἀπενεγκεῖν τὴν χάριν ὑμῶν εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ·
And if it be meet that I also go, they shall go with me.Quod si dignum fuerit ut et ego eam, mecum ibunt.ἐὰν δὲ ᾖ ἄξιον τοῦ κἀμὲ πορεύεσθαι, σὺν ἐμοὶ πορεύσονται.
Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia.
And with you perhaps I shall abide, or even spend the winter: that you may bring me on my way whithersoever I shall go.Apud vos autem forsitan manebo, vel etiam hiemabo: ut vos me deducatis quocumque iero.πρὸς ὑμᾶς δὲ τυχὸν παραμενῶ ἢ καὶ παραχειμάσω, ἵνα ὑμεῖς με προπέμψητε οὗ ἐὰν πορεύωμαι.
For I will not see you now by the way, for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit.Nolo enim vos modo in transitu videre, spero enim me aliquantulum temporis manere apud vos, si Dominus permiserit.οὐ θέλω γὰρ ὑμᾶς ἄρτι ἐν παρόδῳ ἰδεῖν, ἐλπίζω δὲ χρόνον τινὰ ἐπιμεῖναι πρὸς ὑμᾶς, ἐὰν ὁ Κύριος ἐπιτρέπῃ.
But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.Permanebo autem Ephesi usque ad Pentecosten.ἐπιμενῶ δὲ ἐν Ἐφέσῳ ἕως τῆς πεντηκοστῆς·
For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries.
Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear, for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.Si autem venerit Timotheus, videte ut sine timore sit apud vos: opus enim Domini operatur, sicut et ego.Ἐὰν δὲ ἔλθῃ Τιμόθεος, βλέπετε ἵνα ἀφόβως γένηται πρὸς ὑμᾶς· τὸ γὰρ ἔργον Κυρίου ἐργάζεται ὡς κἀγώ· μή τις οὖν αὐτὸν ἐξουθενήσῃ.
Let no man therefore despise him, but conduct ye him on his way in peace: that he may come to me. For I look for him with the brethren.Ne quis ergo illum spernat: deducite autem illum in pace, ut veniat ad me: exspecto enim illum cum fratribus.προπέμψατε δὲ αὐτὸν ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἵνα ἔλθῃ πρός με· ἐκδέχομαι γὰρ αὐτὸν μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν.
And touching our brother Apollo, I give you to understand, that I much entreated him to come unto you with the brethren: and indeed it was not his will at all to come at this time. But he will come when he shall have leisure.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, do manfully, and be strengthened.Vigilate, state in fide, viriliter agite, et confortamini.Γρηγορεῖτε, στήκετε ἐν τῇ πίστει, ἀνδρίζεσθε, κραταιοῦσθε.
Let all your things be done in charity.Omnia vestra in caritate fiant.πάντα ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ γινέσθω.
And I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Stephanas, and of Fortunatus, and of Achaicus, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints:Obsecro autem vos fratres, nostis domum Stephanae, et Fortunati, et Achaici: quoniam sunt primitiae Achaiae, et in ministerium sanctorum ordinaverunt seipsos:Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί· οἴδατε τὴν οἰκίαν Στεφανᾶ, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀχαΐας καὶ εἰς διακονίαν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἔταξαν ἑαυτούς·
That you also be subject to such, and to every one that worketh with us, and laboureth.ut et vos subditi sitis eiusmodi, et omni cooperanti, et laboranti.ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ὑποτάσσησθε τοῖς τοιούτοις καὶ παντὶ τῷ συνεργοῦντι καὶ κοπιῶντι.
And I rejoice in the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because that which was wanting on your part, they have supplied.Gaudeo autem in praesentia Stephanae, et Fortunati, et Achaici: quoniam id, quod vobis deerat, ipsi suppleverunt:χαίρω δὲ ἐπὶ τῇ παρουσίᾳ Στεφανᾶ καὶ Φουρτουνάτου καὶ Ἀχαϊκοῦ, ὅτι τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα οὗτοι ἀνεπλήρωσαν·
For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such.refecerunt enim et meum spiritum, et vestrum.
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge.Salutant vos ecclesiae Asiae. Salutant vos in Domino multum, Aquila et Priscilla cum domestica sua ecclesia: apud quos et hospitor.Ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῆς Ἀσίας.
All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.Salutant vos omnes fratres. Salutate invicem in osculo sancto.ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ πάντες.
The salutation of me Paul, with my own hand.
If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha.Si quis non amat Dominum nostrum Iesum Christum, sit anathema, Maran Atha.εἴ τις οὐ φιλεῖ τὸν Κύριον Ἰησοῦν Χριστόν, ἤτω ἀνάθεμα.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
My charity be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.Caritas mea cum omnibus vobis in Christo Iesu.

Jesus laments over Jerusalem, which kills the prophets

The same day, there came some of the Pharisees, saying to him: Depart, and get thee hence, for Herod hath a mind to kill thee. And he said to them: Go and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and do cures today and…
